Here in Sweden unshielded is most common or what the installer deems
necessary. In industrial aplications I'ven seen more shielded cables
but also more fibers and the switches etc seems be in a completely
other league compared to what you get for you humble home network.

My network has unshielded cat5e router and switch via double insulated
psu's
