Definitely not a wrong attitude. Some people are very skeptical about
the homeopathic medicine; some, on the other hand, are infinitely
grateful if it saved their lives. Your mileage may vary.

Glad to hear it. To follow your medicinal analogy, the only reason we
have medicine in our society is so that it can be applied to cure
people who are sick. There is absolutely no other reason why we have
medicine.

Same is with audio components (such as Logitech Touch) -- the only
reason we have them around is to be able to enjoy music. If someone
gives me a modified component that is going to make me enjoy music even
more, I'll take it (especially if, as in this case, it's free:)

I am not looking for explanations -- same as, after having sex with a
gorgeous woman, I'm not interested in scientific explanations as to how
come that sex felt so good. It just does; it feels good, it feels great,
no need to explain or measure anything, just looking forward to another
glorious intercourse (and, of course, many, many more to come;)
