I wouldn't have thought it would be reset with a firmware upgrade. Your other preferences were maintained, weren't they? Things like the screen wallpaper, SSH still enabled, etc. Or did you also do a factory reset?
Yes, I also noticed DISC isn't supported in TinySC titleformats for some reason.
