OK, so I record a track with my band, mix it down, and master it as a FLAC file. I make a safety backup copy (make that four or five copies, one burnt on a CD, another one burnt on a DVD, another one stored on the external hard drive at home, the other one on an external hard drive in the office, etc.), and also store my backup of that FLAC file in the cloud. Are you now saying that the vendor (Amazon) can hand my data over to a corrupt government. So fucking what? What's a corrupt government to do with a poor old FLAC file containing some noodling on electric guitar? Let's get real here for a moment. No one, and particularly not some corrupt government or some fucked up terrorists, give a shit about the inane little files that we create and store somewhere. And if the vendor goes belly up, I still have my files stored on CDs, DVDs, hard drives, etc. No one here is suggesting that you store your files ONLY in the cloud. If politicians decide to shut down the entire www and then rape our wives and kidnap our children? You paint a pretty bleak picture. I'm sure that right now you have about 1,800 pounds of canned beans stashed in your bunker. Do you have enough ammunition to last you while the zombies are roaming the earth? When are you finally going to make that call and run for the hills? -- magiccarpetride ------------------------------------------------------------------------ magiccarpetride's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37863 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85651 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
