John, while your statement is both correct and informative it does not
address the OP's problem. Once the automatic brightness level is set,
that brightness level doesn't change when the Touch is being used. What
the OP would like is for the screen to return get brighter when the
Touch's screen is being used and then to return to the lower brightness
level once the screen is no longer being used regardless of the light
level within the room. And I agree that this would be a very useful
feature.
