Dave, why do you have anything connected to the USB port of the TOUCH? 
I thought you had all this worked out.  Your TOUCH should be connected
to (1) the powersupply, (2) the internet (either WIFI or ethernet, and
I thought yours was ethernet), and (3) either digital out to your DAC
or analog out to your preamp/amp.  That's it.  

I thought you had your USB drives connected to your computer and your
computer is running SbS and serving the TOUCH your music, etc.   If you
ALSO have a drive attached to the TOUCH USB port, that's probably why
the touch is not cooperating with your PC.
