Any help appreciated. I just got a Asus eee box and have attached a WD 1tb ext HD by mounting the drive in a folder. The set up is all wired. My aim is to use the eee box as a server for the Touch. I have used this set up on an old PC and it works fine.
Problem is when SBS server scans the library all is good to that point BUT when I try to access via the Touch it never connects and worse it kills the eee box internet and network connection and I have to reset the internet/network connection on Win7 on the eee box. Tried remounting ext HD in different folder and still no luck. Same result. The eee box has no trouble talking to other PCs on my network. Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be please? SBS on the eee PC says the connection is ok in diagnostics until I actually try to connect the Touch to the eee PC and that's when it wont find the eee box and kills the LAN and internet connection. Help please.
