I'd suspect basic WiFi interference where the two wireless devices are competing for the same WiFi freq channel.
Try changing the channel your WiFi router broadcasts on to 1 or 6 or 11 (it is likely on ch 6 now). I'd also see if the USB mouse docs or specs give the specific freq it uses.
