Last night I downloaded the 7.5.4 r32171 for the SBS but in trying to update firmware on my Touchs, the living room only went to 7.5.3, I forget the r number. I wanted to listen to the bedroom system so I waited on updating the firmware on it. This AM I updated both Touches to firmware 7.5.4 r9394. Reloaded the Soundcheck TouchToolBox2.0 and the volume mod. I've done this so many times now, I don't need the directions anymore. I haven't had time to check everything but seems like no new problems. The dropout at the beginning of a new playlist appears to have been improved(empty buffer.) I'm afraid to make a categorical statement but playback quality seems to be have less digital harshness, it does seem smoother to me. Redbook rips from early jazz that had typical early CD hardnes are improved to my ears. I expect that someone will tell me that its not possible but thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
