1) Yes 2) not sure where there are directions, but it's pretty simple. As I recall it goes like this: - download desired firmware from http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/ . You want the file fab4*.bin. Don't use a brain-dead browser that will rename the file without asking. - put the file on a USB stick or SD card - put the USB stick or SD card in the Touch - go to Setttings > Advanced > Software update and you should have an option to install the firmware from the USB stick or SD card
3) a backward swipe on the touchscreen should do it.
