Thank you both. I followed your links Nicolas75 but am still unclear as to how I check if there is an Automatic Library Scan at startup. Forgive me but exactly how do I check that please?
Mnyb I use only iPeng on my iPod Touch and most of the time it is switched off. It may not be at all relevant but I should have said earlier that I also run a Boom on my system as well as the Touch. Apart from this horrible startup problem everything else works perfectly.
