That is odd indeed. I too use an SD card in my Touch and I cannot recall a single instance where TinySC just booted up on it's own. The only time TinySC self starts is if I turn off Touch when TinySC was running before I turned Touch off, which is to be expected.
Maybe try turning off the picture viewer? Maybe the viewer thinks you are trying to display an image so it self boots? Dunno.
