got it. Netgear is a company that makes lots of things. Netgear ReadyNAS are NAS units in particular that can run SbS (some better than others. I have a readynas DUO which will work, but the interface was way too slow for me. The x86 versions are evidently much better). But why plug in and out in terms of hassle. USB drives are < $70 for a 1TB. Just devote one to the TOUCH that you don't remove (at least very often). You can even transfer files over the LAN to the attached drive on the touch.
