Playing music from artists/abc tonight and the Touch kept cutting out
leaving me w a msg about available updates. I have been running 7.5.3
which build I am not sure, on Windows 7. When this happened I went to
Home and Now Playing and was able to resume playback. The same thing
happened 3 or 4 times and the last time I said WTF and allowed the
update. I have been hesitant to update due to reading about so many
issues. 

I was updated to 7.5.3 r31792 which I believe is where I was before.
The only things I changed today were that I changed the ethernet slot
on my Netgear N300 router to see if I would get better signal strength
and did some retagging. After the retagging I did a look for new and
changed music scan.

Any ideas why this would happen ? Could it be due to changing which
slot my ethernet cable is hooked into my router ?  Also suprised I did
not get updated to 7.5.4 ?
