Hi,this is my first post on here and hope that someone could help me with a problem i have,please.
First of all I have to say the Logitech Squeezebox Touch is one of the best bits of kit i have ever had. I am by no means any good with a computer,I am pleased with myself for getting everthing working so far,but have come up against a problem playing 24 bit flacs I ripped from dvd audio discs using DVD Audio Extractor. Basically ,I seem to have ripped them into 2 channel 96/24 flac ok, but when i play them,there is a noise at the beginning of each track,it,s like a beep/interference of some sort. I have tried playing about with DVD audio extractors settings in the encoding page,i adjusted thread priority from highest right down to idle when ripping but this doesn't help. I have also tried adjusting flac settings on the Squeezbox server,still the same. I use the Touch with squeezebox server installed on my Dell laptop into a Rega dac connected to my valve amp and speakers. The router i use is a Thomson,freebie off Tiscali but seems to work perfect with everything so far.I connect the Touch with cat6 cable,laptop is wireless,and Touch is connected by coaxial to dac.All my settings and connections seem to be right but i still get this noise from these flacs,everthing else plays absolutely spot on,no complaints whatsoever.
