Yes you CAN make an HRT streamerII work with the Touch. Its NOT plug and play though, you have to log onto the Touch and edit some files. With those changes in effect you can ONLY use it with the streamerII, the other outputs are turned off. If you then load Soundcheck's TT2.0 the results are very good, significantly better than the analog outs of the Touch itself.
There are some limitations, in this mode you are limited to 16 bit, so it works fine with CD rips or internet radio, but will NOT work with 24/96 files. Because you are running 16 bit you should keep the volume all the way up, anything less and you are loosing bits. I do have a partial solution for 24 bits, buts its a lot more hacking and occasionaly will have ticks and pops. The details of how to setup a HRT streamerII are in the USB DAC thread on this forum.
