I'm taking the opportunity to bump this because my problem is similar, although not identical. I don't have the problem with the display being out of sync with the track playing, but more with radio station id. I listen to Radio 2 quite a lot. The artwork often displays a programme that I was playing yesterday - eg today (Monday evening) it's displaying Steve Wright's Sunday Love Songs show from yesterday morning.
Kit: 3 x radios, 2 x receivers, one boom. Whether synchronised or not, they all have the same problem. Streaming from Squeezebox Server 7.5.4 on Windows 7, a mix of ethernet & WiFi connections. Rescans sometimes seem to fix it, but not always and anyway there must be a better fix than that. It's been like this for ages, so I thought it was about time I tried to sort it out.
