You could change the genre of what you want to filter to something unique, like "radio" for example. Then when selecting random mix through web interface, you get the option of selecting which genres to include in a random mix. You would just have to de-select the ones you don't want. I use this to avoid having Christmas music play in a random mix in the middle of summer. Good luck.
