Hi Phil, That is my understanding also. It worked exactly how you described when I had the Squeezebox Classic. Connect to MYSB.com and it would apply the +10-hours (as set within MYSB.com) and display the correct local time; connect to my local music server (musicm8)and it would display its time. BTW, the Classic did not have an inbuilt Time Zone feature.
However, since I have set-up the Touch, it seems to add 10-hours to the local time set on my local music server. +10-hours is the exact Time Zone setting of the Touch (GMT +10 Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney). If I set the Time Zone to GMT within the Touch, then the displayed time is the correct local time (+10). Or if I set the local music server time back 10 hours, then the Touch also displays the correct local time. With the Time Zone set to +10 and I am connected to MYSB.com, the Touch dispalys the correct local time. >From this I can only assume that the Touch is taking the +10-hours into consideration when it is using the local music server time. I cannot think of any other reason. And again, it has only occurred with the Touch and not the Classic. The Classic did not store Time Zone whereas the Touch does. -- mgambetta ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mgambetta's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=47271 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88121 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
