The Young uses a proprietary driver for its USB connection which does
not exist on the Touch so you will have to use its S/PDIF connection.
The M2Tech USB connection is one of its prime advantages, so you
probably won't quite be getting everything that DAC can do by using it
with the Touch. Its still probably a very good DAC, but you won't be
getting everything it can do.

If you are going to be doing 88 or 96/24 files you might have some
issues with connecting a USB drive directly to the Touch. In this
configuration you are running the server and the player on the same
(low powered) hardware, with hi rez files you are right on the edge of
what the hardware can do, there will be a significant probability of
having problems (stuttering, the track starts, then stops for a few
seconds then continues to play, it skips the last 10 seconds of the
file, fun things like that). These issues can be very dependent on the
files themselves and your usage. For example playing a whole album from
beginning to end puts a lot less stress on the system than skipping
between tracks or doing shuffle.

With normal CD res files these issues are much less likely to happen.
Many people have no problem with cd res files on a direct attached
drive, people using hi res files usually use an external server.
