The way I understand what you are trying to do is play music stpored on a server/pc which is part of a network which is not connected to the internet?
>From the Home menu go to Settings, then Advanced, then Networking. The touch should then list your network. Select your network. The Touch should connect to your network. Navigate back to the home page and then to your music.
