I was running a Squeezebox Touch with music (FLAC files) stored first on a USB stick and then on a USB Buffalo external drive. I "upgraded" to storing the files on a (new) Western Digital My Book Live 1Tb drive and connected it to the Squeezebox Touch by ethernet cable via my Netgear Wireless-N Modem Router (DGNB2100). Operating system is Windows 7 (64-bit). Unfortunately, while it seems to perform well if my PC is switched on, the Touch does not seem to be able to access the files on the NAS directly if the PC is switched off. I note that Squeezebox installed the following on the USB memory stick:
Directory = .Squeezebox\cache Files: squeezebox-persistent.accdb; squeezebox-persistent.db; squeezebox.db;ArtworkCache.db In contrast, it has installed no folders or files on the My Book NAS. Please advise: 1) Is Squeezebox capable of running on this system without the PC being switched on and running? (It is not possible for me to leave the PC on overnight.) 2) If so, what do I need to do to achieve this?
