Hi,
I've just upgraded from 7.5.4 to 7.6.1. Here is my experience...
1) First boot
Server went into DISCOVERING_DIRECTORY_PROGRESS, but it was *very*
slow.
After a dozen file, it did spontaneously reboot.
2) Second boot
Server went into DISCOVERING_DIRECTORY_PROGRESS and it hang there,
before reading any file.
3) After a first server restart
I stopped the server and restarted it. Server finished
DISCOVERING_DIRECTORY_PROGRESS, and went into DIRECTORY_NEW_PROGRESS.
It then hang at 98% (7875/7970). Cpu load was nil :
Code:
--------------------
742 1 root S 30124 24% 0% /usr/bin/jive
770 742 root S 7068 6% 0% jive_alsa -d default -c default -b 200
9 2 root SW< 0 0% 0% [sirq-tasklet/0]
1583 1579 root R 2728 2% 0% top
49 2 root SW< 0 0% 0% [IRQ-34]
968 1 root S N 51172 41% 0% /usr/bin/perl /usr/squeezecenter/slims
1577 638 root S 2532 2% 0% dropbear -i
5 2 root SW< 0 0% 0% [sirq-timer/0]
116 2 root SW< 0 0% 0% [IRQ-10]
258 2 root SW< 0 0% 0% [IRQ-57]
970 1 root S N 9912 8% 0% /usr/bin/perl /usr/squeezecenter/gdres
769 742 root S 7148 6% 0% jive_alsa -d plughw:2,0 -b 20000 -p 2
832 1 root S < 6032 5% 0% /usr/sbin/smbd
836 832 root S < 6032 5% 0% /usr/sbin/smbd
866 1 root S < 4188 3% 0% /usr/sbin/nmbd
638 1 root S 2808 2% 0% /usr/sbin/inetd
615 1 root S 2732 2% 0% /sbin/syslogd -S
1579 1577 root S 2728 2% 0% -sh
747 1 root S 2728 2% 0% /sbin/getty tty3 9600 VC vt100
1 0 root S 2724 2% 0% init
--------------------
And the database :
Code:
--------------------
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 21779456 Aug 22 20:07 artwork.db
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1024 Aug 22 20:52 library.db
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 13312 Aug 22 20:14 persist.db
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 32768 Aug 22 20:15 persist.db-shm
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 Aug 22 20:15 persist.db-wal
--------------------
4) After a second server restart
Went through whole scan properly. Note that this time it scanned 7977
files instead of 7970. Hmm...
Everything seems to be fine, music play and so on.
The only bug at that point was that the Pandora and TuneIn entries on
the main menu were duplicated.
I'm clearly not impressed. I'm not sure what to do with respect to bug
report, as nothing seem reproducible.
Regards,
Jean
