I realize I am new to the Squeezebox world having just bought my SB Radio at the end of July, and after receiving a 50% off offer from Logitech, I went ahead and purchased the Touch...
Love 'em... That is, when they work right..... Current problem is that the Shoutcast stuff just doesn't work right.... I click the "Shoutcast" app button, then try to sort by genre, or do a search for a style of music, and the results are coming back empty, or, at the very most there are a few stations listed.... This is in direct contrast to a few days ago when I was able to do searches and find what I wanted to listen to, whether it was stuff like Old Time Radio, or something more eclectic like classical guitar, I was able to find a myriad of stations...for instance, searching using the term "guitar" brings up no stations on my Touch, the Radio, or on my web interface, yet, going to Shoutcast.com and searching with the same term brings up 35 stations.... This happens with my Touch, or with my Radio, or even on my web interface, nothing about Shoutcast works like it did a few days ago.... How come? I did have my home gateway/router die and a new one installed on Friday by the U-Verse tech, but all 4 other wireless computers and the one wired Linux box all work fine....and are able to navigate Shoutcast via it's web page....I did get the Touch and Radio hooked up to the new network without any problems and am able to stream from any of the home computers with SB server on them... Is this harkening back to some of the older posts I read where there were problems between Shoutcast and Squeezebox, API's, etc? Or, do I need to do something different? Has something just changed with SC or SB and now it's broken? Both the Touch and the Radio have the latest updates, well, at least they quit bugging me about apply them after I allowed the updates to occur.... I just thought that I 'd ask the collective wisdom here before getting any more frustrated!
