Strange thing this morning, started playing an MP3 on my touch (16GB SD card internal server) and I got output crackle on both left and right speakers. I suspected the speaker, so did a couple of tests, but got nowhere. I then connected headphones directly to the touch and got the crackle. (Crackle on all tracks I tried, but only while music playing, and this was a crackle not a pop like other posts). I then connected my headphones via a short converter to the RCA outputs, same crackle there.
Tried the old IT fix and rebooted the touch and started the same track with the headphones still connected, what do you know - problem gone (Touch software version 7.6.1 r9486 hardware rev 5) Reconnected the speakers with built in amp and all is fine, but for how long. - Any body else suffered this?
