With s/pdif I get an identical correlation over 110 for both FLAC and PCM against the original rip. This is using an M-Audio 24/96 Audiophile card, with ADM sample rate correction enabled on 16/44.1 source material. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN THE BITSTREAM. Period. It is absolutely "bit-perfect" for both FLAC and WAV sourced material. Jitter does not/cannot affect this particular test (it does affect analogue tests). Do you use Replaygain?
