That's probably the error that sometimes doesn't make a menustatus come through. I've seen this in iPeng a lot (because iPeng connects more often, a Squeezebox usually is permanently on) and on my Squeezeboxes occasionally. What helped in iPeng (and what iPeng now does automatically if menu status doesn't come through) is to re-request the menustatus. In the case of the Touch this means you could, for example, switch servers (e.g. To MySB) or switch to another player and back to make it work again.
