Correct - it's a "feature" of some DAC's unfortunately. The Touch is behaving correctly. There are plenty of DAC's that are engineered properly to handle sample rate changes gracefully. There IS a workaround (that I use for other reasons) which is to use SOX to resample everything to 96k on the fly during playback, thus avoiding sample rate changes between tracks from different albums. -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal...
