You mention HDMI are you using an AV reciever ?

Nowdays they very rarely have a true analog passthru so why not use the
coax or toslink from Touch (and crank up the Touch own volume to 100% or
set it as fixed ).

In almost every case the correct way to hook up anything to an modern
av-receiver is by a digital conection of some sort.

You be avoiding multiple stages of DA-AD-DA this will take you closer
to the "source"

many of the "pure direct" or any other mode is not always what you
think and the manuals don't cary any usefull info in many cases so you
may never know .
And as soon you use the sub woofer you are using the digital path of
the machine.

But it is a rational way to do manufacture to a price point, any
affordable high quality 7.1 volume controll will be digitally
implemented .And the layout and functionality gets simpler everything
is done by the software.

The analog inputs are merely for "legacy"(read cr*p ) sources such as
an old VHS or tape decks or similar .

But of-course there is extreme high end receivers with real analog
passthru.
But then their DA migth be very good anyway ?
