Guys I've recently installed VIPRE Internet Security 2012 onto my Aspire i5-450m 500GB laptop. I have previously run Squeezebox server software successfully when using just the previous VIPRE anti-virus software, with windows 7 firewall active. With the VIPRE firewall enabled, my laptop locks up and the Squeezebox server software (which is v7.6.1 r33110 - I have tried the latest version but thought if I rolled back the version, this may make a difference - it didn't) I have now disabled the VIPRE firewall, and reinstated windows 7 firewall, and all is well again. I did note that in the VIPRE software settings, the ports had been disabled, and so I re-enabled them, and for a very short while, the server software did work. However, it didn't work for long, and once again the Laptop locked up. I do believe there is a conflict somewhere, and the server software did inform me as much by stating 'a possible conflict' which I believe to be the VIPRE firewall. I have contacted GTI the vendor of VIPRE, and will wait on their response. I am interested if any other squeezebox users have had similar issues.
