There's (almost) always room for improvement in products. All my current stuff is better that what I had in 1969. ;-) And of course my bank account has improved since then too.... In my case, I would not swap my Transporter for any of the much more expensive Linn networked music players. p.s. take the discussions about improvements with soundcheck mods and powersupplies, and better ethernet cables, etc. with a grain of salt. Be particularly leery of the "oh my god, the heavens have opened up and I've never heard the music sound this good before." The touch DAC is very good, but there are certainly better DACs than the TOUCH. -- garym Location 1: Vortexbox Appliance 6TB (1.10) > SbS 7.6.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) Location 2: Win7(64) laptop > LMS 7.7.0 > Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio and laptop) Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controlled at both locations with: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91782 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
