Dunno what to tell you, it works for me exactly as you wish it would work for you. Music files and stations saved to Favorites while on TinySBS server are saved as TinySBS Favorites, not MySB Favorites. I can do so both by pressing "+" from the Now Playing screen and pressing & holding the station name in the menu listing.
Is your Touch updated to the latest firmware?
