the easiest way is to use the servers web-UI from the laptop .
remeber to have port 9000 tcp open on the server and possible also on
the laptop

Figure out the servers ip adress for example 192.168.1.5 

then http://192.168.1,5:9000 ok ?
then you can acess the web-UI on the server from that other computer,
thats the whole piont with an web-UI every computer in the house can
use it , and itmakes it easier to run servers without any screen or
keyboard.

or install squeezeplay a beta software that is a " desktop touch " it
can also be used as a controller .
( port 3483 tcp/udp must be open in adition to port 9000 )
