Just to follow up on this, as iTunes Match is live in the UK I signed up to see what it was like. Matching seems perfect, I guess it's on tags/ length because my 8 or so different versions of 'A Forest' by The Cure all seem correct. Syncing to the iPad seems good although you have to download anything before you can play it - there is no streaming. The matching with their database is pretty good. ITunes recognised 12K of my 15K tracks. It took a couple of days to sync the rest. Anyway, after playing with it, I am not sure I need it. All it really does it backup your library to the cloud, and allow you to play any song you are own when you are away from home but on wifi/cellular (at home I'd just use iPeng/SqueezePad) Anyway, seems pretty easy to unsubscribe so you can always try it for a year for £21 CW -- Chunkywizard *Squeezebox:* Boom x2 (Kitchen and Office), Radio x2 (Lounge and Bedroom) *Server:* 7.7.0 for Windows Home Server (HP EX-490 MediaSmart Server) *Plugins:* Dynamic Playlists | SQL Playlist | Music Information Screen | Custom Scan | TrackStat *Remote:* iPod Touch Gen. 1/iPad Gen. 1 running 'iPeng' (http://penguinlovesmusic.de/2008/11/25/ipeng-application-now-on-app-store/) *Music: *'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/chunkywizard) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chunkywizard's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25868 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91623
