I probably should add that the transcoding thing I was talking about only occurs when the less capable player is turned on. As long as it's powered off, the more capable player should receive the high resolution file untouched from the server.
Your "skipping" issues may well be caused by the fact you're - possibly accidentally - turning on the Receiver while playing music on the Touch. When a player joins a sync group, it will cause a brief audio drop out, the time the newcomer's buffer get filled enough. It usually won't take more than 0.5 - 1 second, but if transcoding is required, it could easily take up to 5 seconds, the time the server get the file transcoded up to where it was playing before the player joined the party. -- sebp 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/sebp) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ sebp's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11768 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92703 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
