Big picture you need the following. You may be asking for something more specific.
1. get Logitech Media Server (LMS) 7.7.1 or 7.7.2 installed on your NAS. I have no idea whether that particular NAS is powerful enough, but you can search this forum for other users of that NAS. 2. NAS (with LMS) connected to your Router. Make sure your music library, etc. is all set up within LMS. If your music file tags are a mess, LMS won't play nice with your music in terms of cataloging things. LMS is pretty particular about having either good tags or a well defined directory structure. 3. TOUCH connected either via WIFI or ethernet back to the router 4. TOUCH optical out or S/PDIF out to your DAC 5. DAC to your preamp/amp 6. If you have an iTouch, iPhone, or iPad, I highly recommend iPENG app for ithingies and SqueezePad for iPAD. Excellent controller and works via WIFI in your setup. -- garym *Location 1:* VB Appliance 6TB (1.10) > LMS 7.7.1 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Location 2:* VB Appliance 3TB (2.0) > LMS 7.7.1 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win7(64) > LMS 7.7.1 > SqueezePlay Retired: SB3, Duet Receiver Controllers: iPhone (iPeng), iPad (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Additional Tagging - mp3tag ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=92791 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
