What "library list" are you using? There are two . The one you want to use is:
My Music->Switch Library This should show both servers by the server name not an address. This is the one that actually switches between servers. The other one is: Settings->Advanced->Networking->Remote Libraries. This is used for specifying servers by address if the auto discovery protocol doesn't work. It does not actually switch libraries, it just lets you add libraries to the above My Music/Switch Library list. It sounds like you are going to the second one when you really should be going to the first one.
