There are two ways:
ALTERNATIVE 1: IF YOU WANT A REPLACEMENT FOR THE LOGITECH VU METER
- Install Patch Installer applet on your Touch by going to
Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer and select to install it
- After installation, goto Settings/Advanced/PatchInstaller and select
to install the VU meter you like.
- Some additional VU meters can also be found if you setup jstraw's
repository in SBS/LMS Settings/Plugins:

ALTERNATIVE 2: CONFIGURABLE VU METER USING CUSTOM CLOCK
- Install Custom Clock applet through Settings/Advanced/Applet
Installer
- Goto Settings/Screen/screensavers/Custom Clock Settings and configure
one of the slots to use one of the VU meter styles
- Goto Settings/Screen/Screensavers/When Playing and select Custom
Clock as screen saver when something is playing
- Install Custom Clock Helper plugin in SBS and re-configure the VU
meter style as you like so it suit your needs.
In alternative 2 you will also need License Manager applet through
Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer and purchase a valid license if you
want to use it on long term basis, you can get a free 30 day evaluation
license while you try it out. Install License Manager plugin in SBS
Settings/Plugin do do the actual purchase or apply for an evaluation
license.
