Thanks D. I realize now that a simple answer is probably not going to be of much value. Yes, I was hoping to use the Touch as a standalone unit (for internet radio and stored music files), but if my mucking around with it over the past days had taught me anything, it is that the darned thing is wedded to the Logitech Media Server on the PC, and any attempts to divorce it from the LMS and make it live a happy bachelor life are going to end in frustration and/or tears. . Not going to stop me trying. I can almost hear you saying dont say I didnt warn you ..
