if you have replaygain tags and you've set LMS to use these tags, you
could see the volume change from one track to the next, as the volume
automatically adjusts. But I suspect this is not your problem (e.g., if
you are saying volume changes by itself within a song, this is not RG
tags).

But as a test, try this:

go to the webGUI for LMS > SETTINGS > PLAYER > AUDIO tab, then set
volume adjustment/replay gain to OFF.  Just to make sure the RG tags
are not the issue you are seeing.  (Note, in my case I use SMART GAIN
for this setting  (album RG when playing albums, track RG when doing
random tracks).
