I'm using a Kindle Fire as a remote with the Squeeze Commander software. Works great - I highly recommend the combo. In fact I recently sold my Squeezebox Controller (from the Duet) as I wasn't using it much anymore.
I had previously tried Squeeze Commander on my HTC Android phone but found the screen too small and kept going back to the Controller.
