Just FYI, I've had the same problem at times over wireless. Typically "solving" it came down to checking that the wireless adapter power management was set to only respond to management stations (magic packet) -- some unidentified app/malware seemed to be removing this setting -- and then rebooting everything. Sounds like you've already done that. There is a well-developed 'plugin' (http://code.google.com/p/srvrpowerctrl/) that can automate the switch to mysqueezebox.com that you might find useful.
