That's the problem - he didn't provide any real links of evidence, he
just stated some pseudo-technical stuff, then when I asked for links or
evidence he provided a few links that were irrelevant! I even linked to
a an audio testing site which showed that the Touch natively passes
through bit-perfect data. So I asked how this could possibly be
"improved" and didn't get a meaningful answer, just irrelevancies.

Don't take this as an offence - I don't mean it to. But the phrase
"Triode does not deny there are sonic benefits" tells us nothing in
itself. Has he said there are sonic benefits or not? Equally the phrase
"I believe there were when I installed it." :) What I am after are
definitive facts, i.e. specifically with 24/96 and 24/88.2, are there
improvements either sonically or on processor load, and what
specifically are those improvements in objective terms. This is
important to me because using a samplerate of 192kHz holds no interest
for me (it offers no sonic improvements over 96kHz that I can hear). If
Triode's app does nothing to affect the digital output at lower
samplerates then we can conclude that perceived benefits of the app for
lower samplerates are pure Placebo.
