Oh, the joys of iTunes/Apple. Best avoided than dealt with. :) If they are purchased songs iTunes stopped using DRM a couple years ago, so this won't be an issue for new iTunes purchases. If they are your own rips from CD's using iTunes you can turn off the silly DRM encoding within iTunes (which is enabled by default).
