If broken it would normally be chucked (recycled). modern low price CE is not worth the effort to repair . I suppose that on warranty Logitech could send it back to china and split the case and replace either the screen or the circuit-board and sell it as refurbished ,but wonder if even that is worthwhile maybe recycling is most economical. The BOM (Bill of manufacturing) for stuff like this is very low not many % of the retail price .
But now that Touch is going to be rare , if one can't get a new used one ,what gives then . Maybe a skilled hobbyist can repair anyway , done commercially it would most likely cost more than the new price how many hours of a professionals time would 250$ give you ? And how much time to source parts ? Maybe we need a link collection on this forum for screen and powersuply and other loose parts that can be sourced . Btw powersuplies are avaible from third parties already so that is not an issue ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96367 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
