In one of my listening areas I'm feeding an old Theta DAC that I'm not ready to replace yet (for a variety of reasons that don't concern the topic of my post) using a Squeezebox Touch. The Theta can handle up to 24/48. *All audio is FLAC encoded*.
Is there a way I can have LMS invoke SoX to downsample any content > 24/48 to 24/48 before passthrough from the Touch to the Theta (without also having to force upsampling of any content < 24/48)? >From what I've been able to glean it would likely involve editing convert.conf. I'd appreciate any pointers as to: 1) where convert.conf would be located in a Ubuntu install of LMS 2) what changes need to be made to give effect to the downsampling 3) can this be made player specific i.e. if I have another Touch in the system that I'm using as a DAC or transport to feed a more modern DAC, can I differentiate the two where downsampling is concerned? Thx in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96477 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
