Excellent description ! Thank you for the detailed information ,if I get my hands on SACD rip I'll try I only disagree slightly with your piont 3 ,SACD typically only have ultrasonic noise in high frequencies so going 88.2 migth actually improve things you don't loose any music information as thier is none to get lost ,but the removed noise can be good for your amps and stuff some equipment does not like ultrasonics at all and behaves bad . But 176.4 is correct and 88.2 as these are multiples of the DSD frequency and the conversion is then much simpler maths and theoretically better . Now someone in the know is going to jump me and rightfully say that modern algorithms doing samplerate conversion is so good that it does not matter in practice what target rate we choose make it anything >= 44.1 and enjoy :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96473 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
