There is a difference between being bit perfect or not and not having
any impact on sound quality...  The Touch with replay gain disabled and
volume at 100% is bit perfect and will pass the bit perfect test of the
Audiolab MDAC for instance.  Whether you notice and audible difference
between it and any other playback system is can be influenced by things
other than being bit perfect (as long as it is bit perfect) - any noise
also transferred over the interface, clocking etc and you may have
tested other systems you prefer, but this should not be implied that it
is due to either system not being bit perfect.
