hi all, my first post to this forum, so please just point me to the
right doc or posting if i've missed the answer somewhere.

i've got a new SqueezeBoxTouch (SBT) which already has my music data
much closer to my speakers, but i got really happy when i was able to
ssh into it as a linux device. but i can't seem to do some other things
that it seems i should:

- mount its filesystem via ftps://

- access what i gather is an apache/HTML GUI view of the SBT's main
configuration options via touch.ip.num:9000

trying to poke into what's up makes it seem as if the ports are OK from
the SBT's end:

# netstat -a

does this look correct? if so, the only other thing i can think is that
my ISP's Motorola NVG510) router is getting in the way somehow? but
note my attempted connections are all inside my local network, behind
the firewall?

finally, if i wanted to load some addition *nix utilities:
- which (apt, rpm, ...) repository system is being used?
- if i wanted to just install them locally, where in the system's file
system can it best live?

thanks for your help.
