An update:

I was looking around in the advanced settings just now, and went to the
player tab where my Touch wasn't being seen. I assumed that was because
the power on it was off, but when I went to check it the power was on (I
had just come home from work, and my daughter said it turned on by
itself). Even with it on, and after a couple of refreshings, the Touch
still didn't appear.

I selected 'My Music' on the unit and it connected with the Library. I
refreshed the page again, and the player now shows up.

I could see how my problem with getting audio might be because the Touch
needs to re-connect with the Library, but in the case I describe in my
original post, I select 'My Music' and the Touch says it connects with
the Library, but still no audio. It takes a power on/off to get it to
work.

Is there a setting to keep it connected to the Library?

I just now occurs to me that my library is on my laptop (Macbook), which
is off most of the day. Is the problem on the server end? I do always
make sure that LMS is running before starting the Touch, so I assumed
the connection would be automatic. Am I wrong?

Thanks again, everyone, for your help!

In the meantime, I'll keep fiddling with it.
